A call to action from the "What Next? Summit" - to playfully reimagine, and cross-pollinate, towards a different future

We love to see networks networking themselves… so we were delighted to take over a morning of the What Next? Summit this February, linking together Transition Network, CtrlShift and Losing Control - our colleagues in the new politics agenda.

But it’s also great to see that the thought-processes keep going after these inspirational events fade in the memory - and above is a “call to action” that has come from the What Next? Summit organisers reflecting on discussion and material (more on it here, with download links to the graphic).

We particularly like the injunctions to “Collaborate, Connect and Cross-Pollinate”, and to “Create Spaces to ask ‘What if?’”, alongside more straightforward urgings towards social justice, a solidarity economy and building community power/resilience.

We need to constantly make links between “the usual suspects” and the communities beyond that - and we need to be innovating the ways that can happen, and stay open to good ideas from around the world.
