Our next Plymouth "Inquiry" is on October 13th - and it's part of "Social Saturday"

We are deep in preparations for The Inquiry, the next stage of our Plymouth and South Devon “collaboratory” - taking place on Saturday October 13th. We’re following on from our first “Friendly” earlier this year - and if you want to come and help imagine the future of this amazing city and area, please visit our Eventbrite and Facebook pages.

But we’re delighted that our event (co-organised by RIO) is going to be part of October 13th as Social Saturday - the nationwide day to celebrate and buy from social enterprises, businesses which trade to bring about positive social change. See the SS blurb below:

There are more than 80,000 social enterprises located in communities across the UK that were set up to address some of the biggest social and environmental challenges we are facing. From creating job opportunities for the disabled or long term unemployed, to poverty abroad, they are redefining how we do business. This year’s campaign is focusing on how social enterprises are working towards creating a more equal society through the way that they operate.

The best way to support social enterprises is to buy from them and we’re encouraging everyone to use their purchasing power to help change lives. You can find a host of social enterprise products in the Social Saturday Marketplace- from footballs and soap to chocolate and clothing, all with incredible social impact - and you can find social enterprises and events near you on the Social Saturday Map.

Social Saturday is organised by the membership body, Social Enterprise UK, and supported by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
